1. Introduction

E2C-shop is the retail platform operated by E2C B.V., specializing in the online sale of energy storage batteries, inverters, solar energy storage products, and related renewable energy accessories for residential and commercial applications.

This Refund & Return Policy applies to purchases made through the E2C-shop online store.

2. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers Only)

In accordance with applicable European consumer protection regulations, private consumers (B2C customers) have the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days after receiving the products without providing a reason.

After submitting a withdrawal request, customers have an additional 14 days to return the products.

Please note:

• The statutory right of withdrawal applies only to private consumers (B2C).

• Business customers (B2B) may be excluded from statutory withdrawal rights where permitted by applicable law.

• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise required by law or agreed otherwise in writing.

 

To exercise the right of withdrawal, customers must contact E2C-shop before returning products.

 

3. Return Authorization (RMA)

Returns may require prior return authorization approval (RMA) from E2C-shop.

Customers are encouraged to contact customer support before returning any products.

Unauthorized returns may be delayed, refused, or returned to the sender.

Return authorization instructions may include:

• Return address confirmation

• Packaging requirements

• Transport instructions

• Battery shipping compliance instructions

• Required return documentation

 

4. Conditions for Returns

To qualify for a return and refund, the following conditions must be met:

• Products must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition.

• Products must be returned in the original packaging together with additional protective outer packaging.

• All accessories, manuals, cables, connectors, labels, documentation, and included components must be returned together with the product.

• Packaging must not contain excessive damage, writing, tape damage, stickers, or markings affecting resale condition.

• Products must be securely packaged to prevent transport damage during return shipping.

• Return authorization information must be clearly attached to the package where applicable.

 

Customers are responsible for proper return packaging and safe return transport arrangements.

E2C B.V. reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with these return conditions.

 

5. Non-Returnable Products

The following products are not eligible for return or refund unless otherwise required by applicable law:

• Installed or used inverters

• Activated, connected, or installed battery systems

• Opened high-voltage battery systems

• Products damaged due to improper installation, misuse, or unauthorized modifications

• Custom-configured or special-order products

• Products with missing accessories or damaged packaging

• Products showing signs of installation, operation, or abnormal wear

• Business-to-business (B2B) orders where excluded by law

 

For safety and compliance reasons, activated lithium battery systems may not be returned.

Damaged, leaking, swollen, modified, unsafe, or improperly packaged lithium battery products may be refused for return transport and handling.

 

6. Installation Responsibility & Safety

Battery systems, inverters, and related electrical products contain electrical components that require proper installation, handling, operation, and maintenance.

All batteries, inverters, and related electrical products sold by E2C-shop should be installed by qualified electricians or certified professionals in accordance with:

• Local electrical regulations

• Applicable safety standards

• Grid connection requirements

• Manufacturer instructions and manuals

 

Professional installation is strongly recommended.

High-voltage battery systems and electrical installations must not be installed, modified, serviced, opened, or repaired by unqualified persons.

E2C B.V. shall not be responsible for damages, reduced performance, compatibility issues, safety incidents, or losses resulting from:

• Incorrect installation

• Unauthorized modifications

• Improper use

• Incompatible system configurations

• Failure to follow manufacturer instructions

• Failure to comply with local regulations or standards

 

Improper installation or misuse may void manufacturer warranty coverage.

 

7. Transport & Lithium Battery Safety

Lithium battery products are classified as regulated or hazardous goods for transportation under applicable transport regulations.

Customers returning battery products must ensure that products are packaged, labeled, documented, and shipped in compliance with all applicable transport, carrier, and safety requirements.

E2C-shop reserves the right to:

• Reject unsafe returns

• Refuse damaged battery shipments

• Require specialized transport arrangements

• Delay processing pending safety inspection

 

Customers may remain responsible for additional transport, disposal, inspection, or handling costs resulting from unsafe return conditions.

 

8. Damaged, Incorrect, or Incomplete Deliveries

Customers are required to inspect products immediately upon delivery.

Any transport damage, missing items, incorrect products, or visible packaging damage must be reported to E2C-shop within 48 hours after delivery.

Claims submitted after this period may be rejected where permitted by applicable law.

Customers may be required to provide:

• Photos of packaging

• Photos of products

• Delivery documentation

• Damage descriptions

 

Failure to provide sufficient evidence may affect claim eligibility.

 

9. Refund Process

After returned products have been received and inspected, eligible refunds will generally be processed within 14 days.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Please note:

• Refund approval is subject to compliance with all return conditions.

• Return shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return results from an error attributable to E2C-shop.

• Import duties, customs charges, taxes, expedited shipping fees, and optional service charges may be non-refundable where permitted by applicable law.

• Partial refunds may be applied where products show signs of handling, damage, installation attempts, reduced resale value, or missing components beyond what is necessary to inspect the products.

Refused deliveries or undeliverable shipments may be subject to return shipping deductions, storage fees, or handling charges.

 

10. Warranty

This Refund & Return Policy does not affect any applicable statutory consumer rights or manufacturer warranty rights.

Warranty claims for defective products will be handled in accordance with the warranty terms, exclusions, procedures, and conditions established by the respective manufacturers.

Warranty coverage may not apply in cases involving:

• Improper installation

• Unauthorized modifications

• Incorrect electrical configuration

• Misuse or negligence

• Environmental damage

• Failure to follow manufacturer instructions

 

E2C-shop acts as a reseller and warranty support facilitator and does not provide independent product performance guarantees beyond applicable legal obligations.

11. Exchange Policy

Customers requesting product exchanges are encouraged to contact customer support before returning products.

Replacement products may only be shipped after the returned products have been received, inspected, and approved.

Product availability may affect exchange processing times.

 

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, E2C-shop and E2C B.V. shall not be liable for:

• Installation or labor costs

• Downtime losses

• Loss of energy production

• Indirect or consequential damages

• Delays caused by transport providers

• Third-party service failures

• Compatibility issues

• Damages caused during unauthorized return transport

• Losses resulting from improper installation or misuse

 

Total liability shall in all cases be limited to the purchase value of the relevant product unless otherwise required by mandatory applicable law.

 

13. Applicable Law

This Refund & Return Policy shall be governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

Mandatory consumer protection rights under applicable European laws remain unaffected.

 

14. Changes to This Policy

E2C-shop reserves the right to modify or update this Refund & Return Policy at any time.

Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on the website.
